Its aramid outer shell delivers flame and abrasion resistance while maintaining strength at elevated temperatures, and the PTFE membrane barrier prevents liquid penetration while allowing perspiration vapor to escape, reducing heat stress during extended deployments.

Inside the jacket, a quilted Nomex/FR-viscose liner provides thermal insulation and moisture management, creating a balance between protection and wearability over long shifts. To ensure durability, all seams are stitched with meta-/para-aramid threads, while closures rely on a YKK FR zipper and hook-and-loop storm flap system tested to withstand repeated donning and doffing in operational environments. For visibility, the jacket incorporates 2-inch yellow/silver 3M Scotchlite reflective trim compliant with NFPA 1971 requirements, while ergonomically engineered sleeves, gussets, and elasticized shoulder components support unrestricted motion during attack and rescue maneuvers. Practical features such as dual cargo pockets, a dedicated radio pocket, and integrated drainage ports reduce weight accumulation and allow firefighters to carry essential equipment efficiently.
