Medium Fire Truck
Poseidon’s medium fire truck range provides configurations for municipal, industrial, rural and facility firefighting and rescue duties. The models below list water tanks of 10,000 L, 12,000 L and 18,000 L, with 4×4, 6×6 and 8×4 chassis respectively. Compare access routes, loaded vehicle limits, water delivery, crew space and equipment layout before selecting a configuration.
Specify the required pump flow at working pressure, water source, outlets and fire monitor arrangement for the project. Pump duty and monitor performance must be matched to the selected vehicle and application.
Available customization includes foam or water mist equipment, intelligent dispatch systems, hydraulic spreaders, cutting equipment and high-intensity lighting. Select the extinguishing equipment for the intended hazard and the crew and storage layout for the assigned response role.
Medium Fire Truck Configuration and Selection
Poseidon’s medium fire vehicles are configured for defined firefighting, water-supply and rescue roles. The listed 2500 Gal Fire Truck has a 10,000 L tank and 4×4 chassis; the 3200 Gal Fire Truck lists a 12,000 L tank and 6×6 chassis; and the 4750 Gal Fire Truck lists an 18,000 L tank and Mercedes-Benz 8×4 chassis. These model names identify the available configurations; compare the listed liter capacity and model specifications for the order.
Tank size alone does not determine water delivery or terrain access. Review the pump flow at the required working pressure, intake and discharge connections, monitor duty, water source, full operating load and route limits together. Specify the applicable apparatus standard and edition, destination-market requirements and acceptance documentation for the selected configuration rather than assuming that one standard reference establishes worldwide approval.
- Industrial Zones: Match water delivery, foam or water mist equipment, agent compatibility and equipment storage to the site hazards and response plan.
- Rural and Remote Areas: Review the selected 4×4, 6×6 or 8×4 chassis against the access route, surface conditions, loaded axle limits and available refill points.
- Urban Environments: Compare vehicle dimensions, maneuvering space, crew layout and the water or foam equipment required for the assigned response role.
- Disaster and Rescue Operations: Plan compartment space and mounting for hydraulic spreaders, cutting equipment, lighting and other mission equipment.
- Large Facilities: Define site access, water supply and the required firefighting or support duty for industrial parks and event venues.
Foam extinguishing systems, water mist equipment, intelligent dispatch systems, high-intensity lighting and hydraulic rescue tools can be included in the configuration review. The installation and operating requirements depend on the equipment selected and the site application.
Poseidon’s reported industrial-zone case studies showed response-time reductions of up to 25%. The reported water mist applications reduced water usage by 30%. These figures describe the existing project results; performance for another site depends on its configuration, water supply, response plan and operating conditions.
Performance
Select tank capacity, pump duty, water supply and monitor equipment for the assigned firefighting role. Optional foam or water mist equipment must match the hazard and application. Poseidon’s reported water mist project results included a 30% reduction in water usage; this figure describes those applications rather than a fixed saving for every configuration.
Durability
The listed chassis options include 4×4, 6×6 and 8×4 configurations. Match the drivetrain, suspension, vehicle dimensions and fully loaded operating conditions to the site access routes. Select body materials and corrosion protection for the intended environment, and retain access for inspection and maintenance.
Customization
Poseidon offers configuration design and OEM supply with options for foam extinguishing equipment, water mist devices, intelligent dispatch systems, hydraulic spreaders, cutting equipment and scene lighting. Define the crew, compartment and equipment layout so mounting, power and service access can be reviewed for the selected chassis and response role.
Compliance
Define the required apparatus standard, edition, destination-market requirements and acceptance documents for the selected configuration. NFPA 1900 addresses automotive fire apparatus requirements, including material formerly covered by NFPA 1901. ISO 9001 concerns a manufacturer’s quality management system; it does not by itself certify a truck’s firefighting performance.
Medium Fire Truck Configuration for OEM Supply
Poseidon provides vehicle configuration design, technical support and OEM supply for medium fire truck projects. Use the enquiry form to describe the required vehicle and operating conditions so the chassis, tank, pump and equipment layout can be reviewed together.
- Response Role and Access: Intended firefighting, water-supply or rescue duty; route dimensions, terrain, grade and public-road or facility-use requirements.
- Vehicle and Water Delivery: Preferred model, tank capacity, fully loaded vehicle limits, crew capacity, required pump flow at working pressure, water source, monitor duty, intake and discharge connections.
- Equipment and Layout: Foam or water mist requirements, hazard and agent compatibility, rescue tools, compartment layout, lighting, power supply and dispatch equipment.
- Order Requirements: Quantity, destination market, required standards and editions, acceptance documents, branding, color and delivery schedule.
Include route or equipment-layout drawings when available. These inputs support a configuration review and quotation for the intended order.
