Nitrile Rubber Fire Hose

Poseidon rubber covered fire hose is a high-performance lay-flat hose designed for fire protection, industrial water discharge, and emergency operations. Its through-the-weave, circularly woven double-sided nitrile rubber construction provides exceptional strength, abrasion resistance, and durability against fuels, oils, and petroleum products.

Rated for a working pressure of 8–40 bar (116–580 psi) with a burst pressure up to 120 bar (1740 psi), nitrile rubber fire hose hose ensures long service life under harsh conditions. It is completely maintenance free and can be stored wet without mildew or rot. Standard diameters range from 1 in to 6 in (25–152 mm) and lengths of 20 / 25 / 30 m (66 / 82 / 98 ft) in high-visibility yellow for improved safety.

structure of nitrile rubber hose

This rubber covered fire hose features a twill weave reinforcement and a three-layer bonded structure produced by a through-the-weave extrusion process that fuses the nitrile rubber cover directly to the circularly woven polyester jacket.

  • Inner layer: Smooth nitrile rubber tube for low friction loss and resistance to petroleum products and chemicals.

  • Reinforcement: High-tensile synthetic fibers providing stability up to 40 bar (580 psi).

  • Outer layer: Heavy-duty rubber cover engineered for abrasion resistance, UV protection, and durability against ozone, oxidation, and most chemical exposure.

The hose will remain flexible from –20 °C to +70 °C (–4 °F to 158 °F) and withstand short-term flash exposure up to 600 °C (1110 °F). It offers long service performance, easy cleanup, and compact storage. Available with custom length options and standard fittings (NST/NH, Camlock, BSP/NPT).

  • Rubber covered fire hose design with twill weave jacket for strength and abrasion resistance.
  • Wide pressure range: 8–40 bar (116–580 psi) working; 60 bar (870 psi) test; 120 bar (1740 psi) burst.
  • Maintenance free and mold-proof; can be stored wet for extended periods.
  • Remain flexible in cold conditions and compact when rolled.
  • Resists ozone, oxidation, and most chemical and petroleum products.
  • High-visibility yellow cover for safer operations.
  • Custom length rolls (20 / 25 / 30 m – 66 / 82 / 98 ft) available for varied installation needs.
  • Long service warranty – 5 years limited.

Ideal for fire protection, dewatering, irrigation, and industrial fluid transfer. The rubber covered fire hose construction ensures abrasion resistance and long-term performance in mining, municipal, and marine environments. It also serves as protective sleeving or flexible lining for equipment in contact with petroleum products or harsh chemicals.
