PVC Fire Hose
The PVC fire hose is a reinforced layflat discharge hose designed for firefighting, industrial dewatering, irrigation, and mining operations. It features a high-strength polyester filament yarn jacket and a smooth inner PVC lining, engineered to deliver reliable performance under demanding pressure, temperature, and terrain conditions.
With a working pressure range of 8–40 bar (0.8–4.0 MPa) and a burst pressure up to 120 bar (12.0 MPa), this hose supports medium- to high-pressure applications and maintains flexibility across a wide temperature range of -20°C to +60°C (-4°F to 140°F).
The hose complies with ISO 9001 (QMS), EN 694 Type A/B (industrial and fire hoses), and NFPA 1961 (U.S. fire hose construction standards), ensuring global acceptance in safety-critical and operational environments.
Available in inner diameters from ¾” (19 mm) to 16” (400 mm), standard lengths up to 30 meters, and multiple color options for enhanced visibility, the PVC fire hose is a versatile, cost-effective, and technically reliable solution for professional use.
The PVC fire hose is constructed using a dual-layer structure engineered for strength, longevity, and operational efficiency in fluid transfer systems. Its outer jacket is made from tightly woven polyester filament yarn, offering high tensile strength and resistance to abrasion, puncture, and ultraviolet degradation. This makes the hose suitable for harsh environments such as construction zones, open-field agricultural sites, and mining operations, where dragging and ground friction are common.
The inner lining is formed from flexible, smooth-wall polyvinyl chloride (PVC), selected for its low fluid resistance, corrosion resilience, and resistance to contamination from oils, chemicals, and suspended solids. This lining maintains internal flow consistency and prevents pressure loss across long runs, supporting both clean and sediment-bearing water transport.
Because of its layflat, collapsible design, the hose can be rapidly deployed and easily recoiled for storage or transport. It is lightweight enough to be handled by one or two personnel, even in extended diameters. This makes it highly efficient for emergency response teams, irrigation crews, and infrastructure maintenance contractors.
The hose is temperature-stable from -20°C to +60°C (-4°F to 140°F) and retains its flexibility even in sub-zero outdoor environments. It has been tested to exceed 3000 abrasion cycles (dry test, EN ISO 12947) and has passed ISO 1402 burst pressure tests at pressure levels up to 120 bar (12.0 MPa), confirming its durability under load.
Additionally, Poseidon’s fire hose series support a wide range of couplings including NH (NST), BS336, GOST, and Storz, ensuring compatibility with North American hydrant systems, European hose fittings, and quick-connect applications. Custom lengths, inner diameters, and high-visibility color coatings are available to meet jobsite-specific flow requirements, safety protocols, and hose routing strategies.
