Wildland Fire Clothing
The PSSWF-283 wildland fire clothing (coat + pants) is a lightweight, breathable, heavy-duty wildland firefighting gear tested to NFPA 1977 (wildland) methods, with an EU variant available to EN ISO 15384:2020. A ripstop aramid outer with anti-static fibers, flame resistant finish, and 3M Scotchlite breathable reflective trim delivers protection with reduced heat stress for long shifts on fire lines. Designed for wildland fire gear and WUI operations—not interior structural attack—this set supports department customization, OEM/ODM, and competitive bulk pricing to lower lifecycle cost.
Wildland deployments demand mobility, heat-stress management, and durability over hours of hiking and mop-up in extreme conditions. PSSWF-283 wildland fire clothing is built around a single-layer ripstop aramid shell (Nomex IIIA blend with conductive anti-static fibers) that resists flame, embers, abrasion, and tearing while remaining light, flexible, and highly breathable. A durable water-repellent (DWR) finish sheds light precipitation and hose spray without trapping perspiration.
The coat component, often classified as a wildland fire shirt, integrates a stand-up collar with chin guard, radio pocket with mic loop, and cargo pockets with drainage eyelets. FR knit cuffs with thumb loops prevent sleeve ride-up under gloves. High-wear zones at the elbows are reinforced with 3D abrasion-resistant panels for tool handling and crawling.
The pants, designed as wildland fire pants, feature articulated knees, adjustable waist closures, and detachable suspenders for long-duration comfort on steep terrain. Reinforced knees withstand contact with soil, rocks, and tools on the fire lines, while cargo pockets with drainage eyelets keep essentials dry.
For visibility during smoke, dusk, or night ops, the garment uses 3M Scotchlite™ reflective trim. For seasonal operations, an optional thermal liner can be integrated without compromising breathability.
