Handline fire hose nozzle structure

The Poseidon Handline Fire Hose Nozzle is engineered for controlled water delivery in active firefighting environments. Its selectable gallonage design allows the operator to choose the rated discharge through a flow-setting knob, supporting different tactical needs such as interior attack, exterior cooling, exposure protection, mop-up, and training operations.

The combination nozzle design supports both straight stream and fog stream patterns. Straight stream operation provides reach and penetration for direct fire attack or exposure cooling, while fog patterns support heat absorption, hydraulic ventilation support, and personnel protection in close-range operations. Standard models provide a maximum fog angle of 110°, while selected variants support up to 120°.

The nozzle body is manufactured from hard-anodized aluminum to provide corrosion resistance, impact durability, and reduced operating weight compared with heavier brass components. The injection-molded nylon handle improves grip and thermal comfort during extended hose handling. A rubber bumper protects the nozzle head from impact damage during deployment, dragging, transport, and repeated fireground use.

Standard selectable-gallonage models use a ball valve shutoff for smooth open/close control during hose advancement and nozzle handling. The flow-setting knob selects the rated discharge, while the shutoff valve controls water delivery. A high-pressure jet spray variant is available with a slide valve configuration for specialized operating requirements.

Depending on the selected model, flow ranges include 15–60 LPM (3.96–15.85 GPM), 50–230 LPM (13–61 GPM), 115–475 LPM (30.38–125.48 GPM), and 360–950 LPM (95.1–250.96 GPM). Standard models operate within 6–25 bar (87–363 psi), with typical operation at 7 bar (100 psi). High-pressure jet spray models may operate within 6–40 bar (87–580 psi).

For foam-supported operations, the nozzle can support Class A and selected Class B foam applications when used with compatible foam agents, proportioning equipment, and correct operating pressure. Foam performance depends on the foam concentrate, proportioner, discharge rate, nozzle pattern, and system configuration.

Poseidon offers OEM and bulk supply options for distributors, fire departments, industrial fire brigades, and firefighting equipment brands. Customizable options include inlet size, coupling type, flow range, color, handle style, bumper material, teeth material, logo marking, and packaging.
