Red Turnout Gear (Kevlar)
Poseidon’s Kevlar red turnout gear is a jacket-and-trouser configuration for structural firefighting and rescue teams. This firefighter turnout gear uses an aramid outer shell made from 93% meta-aramid, 5% para-aramid, and 2% anti-static fibers.
The red bunker gear combines the outer shell with a moisture barrier, thermal barrier, and inner lining. The outer shell fabric weighs 200 g/m² (approximately 5.9 oz/yd²); this is the fabric weight per unit area, not the weight of the complete suit.

Red Turnout Gear
Poseidon’s red turnout gear uses a multilayer construction for structural firefighting and rescue applications.
The outer shell of red bunker gear combines 93% meta-aramid, 5% para-aramid, and 2% anti-static fibers for flame resistance, heat resistance, and durability.
Beneath the outer shell, a moisture barrier constructed from non-woven aramid fabric with PTFE coating provides water resistance and breathability.
The thermal barrier helps reduce heat transfer through the garment’s multilayer construction. Its role is separate from the moisture barrier and the inner lining.
Against the firefighter’s body, the comfort liner combines 50% aramid fibers with 50% viscose fibers to provide a soft inner surface.
Critical wear points including shoulders, elbows, and knees receive reinforcement with abrasion-resistant materials. Nomex thread stitching supports flame-resistant garment construction.
